At sunrise, I went down to the Natchez port to photograph the flooding Mississippi River. On this day, the river was at 57 ft, and flood stage is 48 ft. The last time flooding was this significant was in 2011. The river is expected to continue to rise as the snow melts up north. My boyfriend and I, plan on driving up to the Mississippi Delta next week to see how the flooding is affecting the area.
